V-Day Cupcakes

For Valentine's Day I decided to make my husband (and myself) red velvet cupcakes. I wanted to decorate them fun for the holiday, but I was really disappointed by how limited my options were at the store. Instead of buying a themed decorating kit, I made my own toppers with some items I had in my craft bin.

Using scrapbook paper, tags, stamps, paper ribbon, and toothpicks, I was able to dress up my dessert exactly as I wanted. Not only did I personalize the cupcakes for my Valentine, but I saved some money by using items I already had.

They look so adorable, I can't wait to try one!
