Awkward Family Photos...

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Man does it feel good to be off work (for 12 whole days, eek!) and boy am I excited to see my family later (some I haven't seen in a whole year!).

One of my favorite parts about the holidays is giving and receiving holiday cards. It's such a nice tradition and it really does help spread the cheer! This year, Shay and I were on a tight schedule and a tight budget, so we decided to send our holiday cards via Paperless Post. It's simple, fast (immediate, actually), and free!

We decided to take our own photo this year by the fireplace. This was my first time using a tri-pod for timed portraits. It was a bit tricky since I didn't have a remote, so I had to run up, push the button and then count down from 10 for each round of pictures.

In almost every picture Gatsby looks like a deer in the headlights. That pup is not a natural in front of the camera. It's so unfortunate, because he has a beautiful smile - it's just rare if we can ever capture it! As a result, we have some hilarious Christmas photo "bloopers" that were just too awkward and funny not to share.
