Oh The Weather Outside is Frightful...
It's -13 degrees outside in Chicago right now - "feels like -38 degrees". Go ahead, say it... WTH?! With that said, I stayed home from work today.
I'm pretty sure the only living creature in Chicago that appreciates this cold weather is Anana, the polar bear at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Believe it or not, it's cold indoors, too. I'm currently dressed like I'm about to go skiing (which would be idiotic and deadly in this weather), however, staying warm outside & inside is necessary for survival today. Below is my list of necessities for this frigid January day.
- My Patagonia pullover that Shay got me for Christmas
- A cozy infinity scarf
- Insulated leggings
- Hot coffee and/or hot chocolate (served in cute mugs)
- A warm blanket
- Slippers
- Something extra for those hot beverages (this New Holland Bourbon is excellent)
