Baggage Claim: Luggage as Furniture

Vintage furniture can add unique character to a home - whether it was passed down in the family or picked up off the side of the road. Certain decor doesn't have to cost much (or anything at all), but it can still add value to a room. Old luggage is a great example of this.

Grandma's suitcases typically are not functional for travel today, however, they can be used to make a great side table or accent piece. In this situation, the bulkier the better! The following are a few examples of how luggage can be used as one-of-a-kind furniture.

If old-fashioned luggage was not willed down to you, I know people who have found similar items at the local flea market and garage sales. Rummaging not your style? Do a keyword search on etsy.com - an online vintage/handmade marketplace.
