Temperatures reached the mid-50's yesterday in Chicago, which felt like heaven considering it snowed, again, a few days ago. The sun was out and the pups wanted to play, so I decided to make myself an afternoon "pick me up" smoothie to drink outside.
It's been a while since I've made this smoothie. I forget that I tend to have all of the ingredient at home already, making it that much easier to whip together!
- 1-cup of milk
- 2-shots of espresso
- 2-3 tbsp of peanut butter
- 1-tbsp of flaxseed
- 1-2 frozen bananas
Blend it all together and enjoy!
You could substitute the espresso for strong coffee. Also, if you don't have frozen bananas, you could use thawed ones and just add ice. I find that everyone likes their smoothies different, some thick and some thin. Play with the proportions until it's just right!
